INGHAM COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

RESOLUTION TO EXTEND THE SWANSON INMATE COMMISSARY

CONTRACT FOR ONE YEAR

RESOLUTION #00-015

WHEREAS, the Ingham County Sheriff's Office is in the middle of establishing a new Jail Management System; and

WHEREAS, extensive staff time, both at the Sheriff's Office and at M.I.S. will be required to establish the new system; and

WHEREAS, the contract for Inmate Commissary expires January 15, 2000; and

WHEREAS, the Sheriff's Office staff time will be devoted to establishing and insuring that the new Jail Management System operates efficiently.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes the Ingham County Sheriff's Office to extend the contract with Swanson through January 15, 2001.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes the Board Chairperson and the County Clerk to sign any necessary contract documents to extend the current contract subject to the approval as to form by the County Attorney.
