INGHAM COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

RESOLUTION #00-033

WHEREAS, the purchase of a John Deere Tractor was approved in the amount of $17,000, in the 2000 budget for use at Hawk Island County Park; and

WHEREAS, bids were taken according to county purchasing procedures and the two lowest bids received were for the same amount of $17,615, one from D & G Equipment, a local dealer, and one from Thesier Equipment Company located outside the county; and

WHEREAS, staff has agreed that the bid from the local dealer be accepted, and the tractor be ordered directly from the John Deere Company according to the bid specifications; and

WHEREAS, there are sufficient funds in the Parks Department Capital Improvement Budget to cover this excess amount.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the purchase of the 39 h.p. John Deere Tractor from D & G Equipment be approved in the amount of $17,615, according to bid specifications.
