RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE AMENDMENTS TO THE CONTRACTS FOR INGHAM COUNTY VETERANS AFFAIRS OFFICE TO PROVIDE MEDICAL, TRANSPORTATION AND COUNSELING SERVICES TO VETERANS OF CLINTON AND EATON COUNTY



RESOLUTION #01-08



WHEREAS, the Veterans Affairs office has traditionally provided through contract to Clinton and Eaton County transportation to and from the Department of Veterans Affairs to Medical Centers for medical treatment, the pick up of medical supplies, and also the provision of counseling services; and



WHEREAS, Eaton County has proposed to change the reimbursement formula for the 2000/01 fiscal year and a graduated decrease over two years to Ingham County for services received from the Ingham County Veterans Affairs Department; and

WHEREAS, the Controller has reviewed the proposal and agrees it is fair to both parties and further recommends that the same formula should apply to Clinton County's contract.



THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes an amendment to the agreement between Ingham County Veterans Affairs and Clinton County for the period of January 1, 2001 - December 31, 2001 for services to veterans, by reducing the the amount from $20,808 to $19,325.



BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes an amendment to the agreement between Ingham County Veterans Affairs and Eaton County for the period of October 1, 2000 - September 31, 2001 for services to veterans, by reducing the amount from $52,386 to $48,651



BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Controller is authorized to amend the appropriate 2000 and 2001 budgets accordingly.



BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board Chairperson and County Clerk are authorized to sign any necessary documents upon approval as to form by the County Attorney.
