RESOLUTION HONORING CAPTAIN DAVID C. WILCOX

RESOLUTION #01-134

WHEREAS, Captain David C. Wilcox began working for the Ingham County Sheriff's Office on March 15, 1976 as a Corrections Officer; and

WHEREAS, he worked as a Police Officer from June of 1977 until August of 1981 when he became a Detective; and

WHEREAS, during his career with the Sheriff's Office, David continued to receive numerous promotions, in November of 1987, he was promoted to Sergeant, in February of 1991, Lieutenant and in July of 1998 he was promoted to Captain; and

WHEREAS, David Wilcox has also been honored with several awards over the years, he is the recipient of the Bravery Award, three Meritorious Awards and six unit citations; and

WHEREAS, on May 31, 2001, 1999, Captain David C. Wilcox will be retiring from his position at the Ingham County Sheriff's Office.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners hereby honor Captain David C. Wilcox for his many years of dedicated service to the County of Ingham and its citizens.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board wishes him continued success in his future endeavors.
