RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A RE-ORGANIZATION WITHIN THE CIRCUIT COURT AND THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A NEW CHIEF DEPUTY COURT CLERK



RESOLUTION #01-152

WHEREAS, the Circuit Court has been undergoing a re-organization for the last several months; and



WHEREAS, as part of the re-organization, the County Clerk and the Circuit Court agree a new re-created Chief Deputy Court Clerk position needs to be established to oversee all records management functions of the circuit court; and



WHEREAS, the County Clerk, Human Resources Director and the Circuit Court agree on the supervisory structure and job functions of this re-created position; and



WHEREAS, the County Human Resources Department has recommended a salary for this position as a Managerial Confidential, level 9, of $42,938 - $51,538.



THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners hereby establishes a Chief Deputy Court Clerk position with the salary grades and levels as set by the Human Resources Department to be effective upon the hiring of this internally selected position.



BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the funds necessary for this reclassification will be taken from the department's existing budget, including but not exclusively from the elimination of the successful candidate's position.



BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Controller is authorized to make the necessary budget adjustments to the 2001 Budget and Position Allocation List in accordance with this resolution.
