INGHAM COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH HNTB

TO PROVIDE CONSULTING SERVICES TO THE VILLAGE OF STOCKBRIDGE

RESOLUTION #01-246

WHEREAS, the Ingham County Economic Development Corporation Office provides economic development services to the Village of Stockbridge, through its DDA, under the terms of a contract between Ingham County and the Stockbridge DDA; and

WHEREAS, that assistance has been in the form of assisting Stockbridge in the development of a Master Plan; and

WHEREAS, with position vacancies in the Economic Development Corporation Office, it is not possible to continue that support utilizing employees; and

WHEREAS, HNTB, Michigan, Inc. has agreed to provide the necessary assistance.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes a contract with HNTB to provide planning services to the Village of Stockbridge, as outlined in the attached scope of services, for an amount not to exceed $8,800.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that any modifications to the scope of work shall be approved by the Village of Stockbridge.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board Chairperson is authorized to sign an agreement with HNTB for the purposes stated, subject to approval as to form by the County Attorney.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Controller is authorized to make the necessary budget adjustments within the Economic Development Corporation Office.
