INGHAM COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

RESOLUTION HONORING THE EMERGENCY PLANNING COMMITTEE'S HAZMAT TEAM

RESOLUTION #01-263

WHEREAS, the Ingham County Board of Commissioners established an Emergency Planning Committee to prepare the County for natural and man made disasters; and

WHEREAS, the members of the Emergency Planning Committee formed a Hazardous Response Team (HAZ MAT) which utilizes a response vehicle and other equipment to enable the HAZ MAT Team to serve the public; and

WHEREAS, the HAZ MAT Team spent many hours organizing and training to be prepared for natural and manmade disasters; and

WHEREAS, their commitment and diligence are an exemplary model for intergovernmental cooperation between local units of government and public safety agencies here in Ingham County.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners hereby honors the members of the Emergency Planning Committee HAZ MAT Team for their dedication and perseverance in protecting the public safety and environment here in Ingham County.
