RESOLUTION TO APPROVE A NEW TWO YEAR CONTRACT WITH

LANSING-MASON AREA AMBULANCE SERVICE FOR INMATE TRANSPORTS

RESOLUTION #01-264

WHEREAS, the Ingham County Sheriff's Office has had a contract with the Lansing-Mason Area Ambulance Service for inmate transportation for the past 4 years; and

WHEREAS, both the Ingham County Sheriff's Office and the Lansing-Mason Area Ambulance Service have agreed to a new two year contract under the same terms and conditions as the previous contract; and

WHEREAS, Purchasing has agreed that this conforms to standard purchasing practices.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes a new two year contract with Lansing-Mason Area Ambulance Service to provide inmate transportation to hospitals for the time period July 1, 2001 through June 30, 2003.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the following fee schedule shall remain in effect for the duration of the contract:

Basic mobile emergency care services $100 per run

Limited advanced mobile emergency care services $100 per run

Advanced mobile emergency care services $100 per run

Cadaver transportation $ 50 per run

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes the Board Chairperson and the County Clerk to sign any necessary Agreements consistent with this resolution and subject to approval as to form by the County Attorney.
