INGHAM COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT A SUPPLEMENTAL GRANT FROM MICHIGAN MUNICIPAL RISK MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY

RESOLUTION #01-269

WHEREAS, the Ingham County Sheriff's Office applied for and has been approved to receive a Supplemental Grant from M.M.R.M.A. (Michigan Municipal Risk Management Authority); and

WHEREAS, this Risk Avoidance Program Grant will provide for supplies and materials, not provided in the Michigan Justice Training Commission Regional Pursuit Driving program grant; and

WHEREAS, the total Risk Avoidance Program Grant from M.M.R.M.A. is for $2,500.00 with no match requirement; and

WHEREAS, the Ingham County Sheriff's Office shall use the Grant money for operational costs (supplies, refreshments and training materials), not to exceed the total grant award of $2,500.00.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners approves the acceptance of a Supplemental Grant from the Michigan Municipal Risk Management Authority (M.M.R.M.A.) in the amount of $2,500 for the time period of August 30, 2001 through November 8, 2001.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes the Board Chairperson and the County Clerk to sign any necessary contract documents that are consistent with this resolution and approved as to form by the County Attorney.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners directs the Controller to make the necessary budget adjustments in the Ingham County Sheriff's Office 2001 budget.
