INGHAM COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE A 2001-2002 4C AGREEMENT
WITH THE FAMILY INDEPENDENCE AGENCY
RESOLUTION #01-300
WHEREAS, the Office for Young Children provides information and referral, training, and other services to day care organizations and to parents of children in Ingham, Clinton, Eaton and Shiawassee Counties; and
WHEREAS, the State of Michigan has provided financial support for these services for many years through State departments, and now through the Family Independence Agency; and
WHEREAS, the Michigan Family Independence Agency is proposing an agreement for services during State Fiscal Year 2001-2002; and
WHEREAS, the Health Department's 2002 budget anticipated a continuation of 4C services and funding; and
WHEREAS, the Health Officer recommends that the Board of Commissioners authorize the proposed Community Coordinated Child Care agreement with the Michigan Family Independence Agency.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners hereby authorizes a Community Coordinated Child Care Agreement for FY 2001-2002 with the Michigan Family Independence Agency.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the period of the agreement shall extend from October 1, 2001 through September 30, 2002 and that the State of Michigan shall reimburse Ingham County up to $437,350 for expenses related to the scope and units of service included in the agreement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the ICEA PRO05, part-time OYC Early Childhood Consultant position HLHOYC019 be eliminated.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the ICEA PRO05, OYC Early Childhood Consultant position HLHOYC020 be changed from part-time to full-time status.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the MIS Director is authorized to purchase computer equipment and upgrades for up to $4,000 in value, to support the services delivered by the OYC.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the County Controller is authorized to amend the Health Department's FY2002 budget to implement this resolution, and that the Board Chairperson is authorized to sign the agreement after review by the County Attorney.
