INGHAM COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

RESOLUTION HONORING THE ORIGINAL CHURCH OF GOD ON THE EVENT OF ITS 75^TH ANNIVERSARY

RESOLUTION #01-322

WHEREAS, the Original Church of God was founded in 1926 by Reverend Cary McLaurine Sr. and Bishop Jess Smith; and

WHEREAS, the Original Church of God was originally known as the Lighthouse Mission and was located on West Main Street in Lansing, and

WHEREAS, under the outstanding leadership of Elder J.Z. Stewart, Elder Martin, Elder Stewart, Elder Samuel Moore, Elder Cary McLaurine Jr. and current Pastor Elder Albert Kelly, the congregation has increased over the years and the Original Church of God now has four locations within the City of Lansing; and

WHEREAS, the Original Church of God is celebrating its 75th Anniversary.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners hereby honor the Original Church of God on the event of its 75^th Anniversary.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners congratulate Pastor Elder Albert Kelly and the congregation of the Original Church of God and wish them continued success in all of their future endeavors.
