RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE CAPITAL AREA DISTRICT LIBRARY TO ALLOW THE CREDITING OF CERTAIN FUNDS AT MERS

TO CERTAIN EMPLOYEES

RESOLUTION #01-387

WHEREAS, the Payroll Agreement between Ingham County and the Capital Area District Library is terminating on December 31, 2001; and

WHEREAS, it is desirable to allow the Municipal Employees Retirement System to credit the accounts of non-vested employees of CADL who were receiving employer contributions paid by CADL; and

WHEREAS, MERS is requiring an agreement between CADL and Ingham County to allow this to occur; and

WHEREAS, the County Attorney and County Controller are recommending such an agreement.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Commissioners authorizes such an agreement between Ingham County and CADL which allow the Municipal Employees Retirement System to credit the accounts on non-vested employees of CADL who were receiving employer contributions paid by CADL with those employer contributions.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board Chairperson and County Clerk are authorized to sign the attached agreement, with any additional changes which may be recommended by the County Attorney.
