INGHAM COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE AWARD OF PROPOSAL AND ENTERING INTO A CONTRACT FOR MOVING THE GRANDSTAND HORSE ARENA AND EXPANDING THE PULL STRIP AT THE INGHAM COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS

RESOLUTION #01-55

WHEREAS, the Ingham County Fairgrounds is in need of moving the grandstand horse arena and pull strip; and

WHEREAS, the Ingham County Fair Board has a $45,000 budget for arena upgrading in the 2001 Capital Improvement budget; and

WHEREAS, proposals were solicited and evaluated by the Ingham County Purchasing and Properties Department and it is their recommendation, with concurrence of  the Ingham County Fair Board and Manager, to Award a contract to Sunrise Aggregate, the firm submitting the lowest responsive proposal in the amount of $37,885.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED,  that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners hereby approve the award of proposal and authorize entering into a contract with the Sunrise Aggregate in the amount of $37,885 for arena upgrading at the Ingham County Fairgrounds.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board Chairperson and County Clerk are authorized  to sign the necessary contract documents upon approval as to form by the County Attorney.
