INGHAM COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE PROGRAMMING SERVICES FOR THE CSES CONVERSION PROJECT

RESOLUTION #01-76

WHEREAS, the Ingham County Board of Commissioners has approved the conversion of the Friend of the Court computer system to the State of Michigan Child Support and Enforcement System (CSES); and

WHEREAS, it is necessary to obtain programming services to assist in the conversion of data and related tasks; and

WHEREAS, the State of Michigan has agreed to pay 100% of the costs of these programming services, to a maximum of $114,400 over a period not exceeding 26 weeks; and

WHEREAS, the MIS Director is recommending that the programming services be obtained from the Unisys Corporation, who currently provides maintenance and support of the county mainframes, and who has provided contract programming services in the past.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the MIS director is authorized to obtain contract programming services from Unisys for the purpose of assisting in the data conversion related to the conversion of the Friend of the Court computer system to the State of Michigan Child Support and Enforcement System (CSES).

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the services obtained shall be those specified as allowable for 100% reimbursement by the State of Michigan.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the cost of the services shall not exceed $114,400 over a period of 26 weeks.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board Chairperson and County Clerk are authorized to sign any documents which may be necessary to implement this resolution, subject to approval as to form by the County Attorney.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Controller is authorized to make necessary budget adjustments to reflect the additional expenditure and the anticipated reimbursement.
