INGHAM COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ENTERING INTO A CONTRACT WITH LANSING

TILE & MOSAIC, INC. TO FURNISH AND INSTALL NEW GYM FLOORING

AT THE INGHAM COUNTY YOUTH CENTER

RESOLUTION #01-94

WHEREAS, the present condition of the gym flooring at the Ingham County Youth Center is in a deteriorating state and is in need of replacement; and

WHEREAS, the funds for this project are budgeted and approved within the 2001 Capital Improvements Plan; and

WHEREAS, the Purchasing Department solicited proposals for the removal of existing flooring material, and to furnish and install a waterproof flooring "ISO Sport Membrane," the proposals were reviewed by both the Purchasing and Facilities Departments; and

WHEREAS, Lansing Tile & Mosaic, Inc. submitted the lowest responsive proposal for removal of the existing gym flooring material, preparation of concrete for the new flooring, and to furnish and install "ISO Sport Membrane" a waterproof gym flooring for a total price of $32,670.00.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners hereby authorizes entering into a contract with Lansing Tile & Mosaic, Inc., 2210 Apollo Drive, Lansing, Michigan 48906 for the replacement of the gym flooring at the Ingham County Youth Center for a total cost of $32,670.00.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes the County Attorney to prepare the necessary contract documents with the Board Chairperson and County Clerk to sign the same.
