RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE AN AGREEMENT AND TO ACCEPT FUNDS FROM THE SUSAN G. KOMEN BREAST CANCER FOUNDATION SUPPORTING THE BCCCP IN THE INGHAM COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT

RESOLUTION #02-116

WHEREAS, the Ingham County Health Department has operated a Breast and Cervical Cancer Control Program(BCCCP) since 1992; and

WHEREAS, the Ingham County Health Department Breast and Cervical Cancer Control Program is proposing to join an outreach effort of the Ingham Health Plan (IHP) Grassroots Outreach Project; and

WHEREAS, the BCCCP has submitted a grant application to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation Greater Lansing Affiliate; and

WHEREAS, the ICHD BCCCP has been notified as a grant recipient in the amount of $5,000; and

WHEREAS, the Health Officer recommends the acceptance of the grant funds.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes a grant agreement up to $5,000 with the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation Greater Lansing Affiliate for the period April 1, 2002 through April 1, 2003 in support of the Breast and Cervical Cancer Program's Grassroots Outreach Project.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board Chairperson is authorized to sign the agreement authorized by this resolution after review by the County Attorney.
