RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT $1,000 FROM THE INGHAM COUNTY BAR

ASSOCIATION FOR REFRESHMENTS/MATERIALS FOR THE

FOC "FOCUS ON THE CHILDREN" PROGRAM

RESOLUTION #02-118

WHEREAS, the Ingham County Bar Association graciously donated $1,000.00 to the Ingham County Friend of the Court to provide refreshments and materials to parents attending the "Focus on the Children" program; and

WHEREAS, the Ingham County Friend of the Court and the Family Division Judges of the Circuit Court Orientation Program called "Focus on the Children" is designed to assist parents who confront domestic disputes in assisting their children through this difficult time; and

WHEREAS, the donation from the Ingham County Bar Association will assist in placing parents involved in domestic disputes in a more comfortable, non-confrontational environment.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes the Ingham County Friend of the Court to accept the $1,000.00 donation from the Ingham County Bar Association.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners appreciates the generosity of the Ingham County Bar Association.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes the Controller's Office to make the necessary budget adjustments in the Ingham County Friend of the Court Office 2002 Budget.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that any amounts unexpended from the donation and its purposes in 2002, shall be carried forward to future annual budgets for the Friend of the Court.
