RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT $6,000 DONATION FROM THE DELHI TOWNSHIP DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY
RESOLUTION #02-120
WHEREAS, it was necessary to increase the number of vehicles assigned to the contingent of Deputies at Delhi Township; and
WHEREAS, a position had been added to the Delhi Township staff as a Community Business Officer; and
WHEREAS, the Delhi Township Development Authority was approached to assist the Sheriff's Office in purchasing a vehicle for the Business Community Policing Officer; and
WHEREAS, Ingham County would normally receive approximately $6,000 from the sale of a used patrol vehicle during 2002; and
WHEREAS, the Delhi Township Development Authority has agreed to pay $6,000 to the Ingham County Sheriff's Office for the purchase of a vehicle assigned to the Community Business Police Officer.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes the Ingham County Sheriff's Office to accept a $6,000 donation from the Delhi Township Development Authority.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners appreciates the Delhi Township Development Authority's willingness to support the contract between the Ingham County Sheriff's Office and Delhi Township.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes the Controller to make the necessary adjustments in the Ingham County Sheriff's Office 2002 Budget and the increase of the Sheriff's Office Fleet by two vehicles.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Chairperson of the Ingham County Board of Commissioners and the County Clerk are authorized to sign any necessary contract documents consistent with this resolution and approved as to form by the County Attorney.
