INGHAM COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ENTERING INTO CONTRACT WITH ID NETWORKS FOR THE INGHAM COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE INMATE PAY FOR STAY SYSTEM

RESOLUTION #02-121

WHEREAS, the County Board of Commissioners have previously authorized and refined an Inmate Billing Policy; and

WHEREAS, it has been determined that it is necessary to purchase and install an Inmate Pay for Stay System for the Ingham County Sheriff's Office; and

WHEREAS, the IJIS Committee, the Sheriff's Office, and the MIS Department have reviewed and are recommending a proposal to develop such a system.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes entering into a contract with ID Networks for the Ingham County Sheriff's Office Inmate Pay for Stay System at a cost of $ 22,510 for the time period of May 1, 2002 through September 30, 2002.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that $22,510 is authorized to come from the 2002 Contingency fund to be appropriated to the proper line items in the Sheriff's Office for this purpose.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Controller is authorized to make the necessary budget adjustment to the 2002 Budget and that the Chairperson of the Ingham County Board of Commissioners and the County Clerk are authorized to sign any necessary contract/purchase documents with ID Networks consistent with this resolution and approved as to form by the County Attorney.
