RESOLUTION HONORING JODY KRANZ



RESOLUTION #02-157



WHEREAS, Jody Kranz began her career with Ingham County in November, 1972 as a Clerk/Clerk Typist for the Ingham County Clerk; and



WHEREAS, in 1979, Jody transferred to the Circuit Court as a Court Clerk, where she was promoted throughout the years to Deputy Clerk III, Deputy Clerk Supervisor, Clerical Services Supervisor, Chief Court Clerk, Deputy Court Administrator/Chief Court Clerk, interim Court Administrator and Court Administrator, the position she currently holds; and



WHEREAS, during her years of service with Ingham County, Jody has been an effective leader and has been committed toward improving the quality of life for those she served through the court system; and



WHEREAS, as a result of her dedication and devotion to the citizens of Ingham County and through her guidance, the courts are better able to meet the needs of the public it serves; and



WHEREAS, Jody assisted in the implementation of the 1998 Court Reorganization Plan, she was instrumental in the procurement and implementation of Courtview, coordinated the CSES project/Friend of the Court and assisted in the coordination of the building of the Veterans Memorial Courthouse; and



WHEREAS, on many occasions, Jody intervened in matters such as the negotiations between Friend of the Court and the unions regarding the 4/40, alleviating hostility and assisting in the unions' acceptance of the agreement; and



WHEREAS, with over 29 years of service with Ingham County, Jody is retiring from her position as Court Administrator for the Ingham County Courts.



THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners hereby honor Jody Kranz for her commitment and dedication to the County of Ingham and its citizens, and for the significant impact she has had on the operation of the court system throughout the years.



BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board of Commissioners extends its best wishes to Jody and hopes for continued success in all of her future endeavors.
