RESOLUTION AMENDING THE 2002 INGHAM COUNTY BUDGET



RESOLUTION #02-186



WHEREAS, the Ingham County FIA has requested an additional appropriation to the Child Care Fund Budget of $276,000 as a result of significant increases in expenses associated with family foster care and residential placement costs; and



WHEREAS, the Ingham County Board of Commissioners finds it necessary to amend its budget to provide for the increased appropriation; and



WHEREAS, the Controller is recommending that the budget be amended by recognizing increased revenues from the Register of Deeds Office; and



WHEREAS, it is also necessary to recognize increased expenditures in the Register of Deeds Office.



THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorize an increase in its budget of $270,000 by recognizing increased revenues in the Register of Deeds Office.



BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorize an increase in the Child Care Fund budget of $552,000, of which $276,000 is an increase in the county general fund appropriation.



BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the budget in the Register of Deeds Office is increased by $20,000 to provide for increased expenditures associated with the processing, imaging, and microfilming of deeds.



BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Contingency Account is decreased from $98,312 to $72,312.



BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Controller is authorized to make the necessary budget amendments.



BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board Chairperson is authorized to sign the appropriate amendment to the Child Care Fund budget.
