INGHAM COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS



RESOLUTION HONORING THOSE WHO CONTRIBUTED TOWARD THE CONTINUED OPERATION OF THE OTTO COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTERS AND PROGRAMS



RESOLUTION #02-188



WHEREAS, funding for continued operation of the Otto Community Health Centers and programs was eliminated as the result of financial cuts by the State of Michigan; and



WHEREAS, upon hearing of the elimination of funding, a number of contributors rallied and collectively donated $115,750 towards the reduction in funding; and



WHEREAS, these contributions were done as the result of their commitment and passion to assuring that children and uninsured individuals and families have access to health care and prevention services.



THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners would like to honor the individuals, community organizations and local businesses for their commitment to ensuring youth and area residents have access to health care and health education services.
