RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE AN AGREEMENT WITH WAYNE STATE

UNIVERSITY TO PROVIDE CLINICAL EDUCATION/FIELD WORK REQUIREMENT FOR NURSING STUDENTS

RESOLUTION #02-229

WHEREAS, Wayne State University has accredited curricula leading to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing degrees which require that its students receive clinical education/field work experience as part of their professional preparation, and

WHEREAS, Wayne State University has requested that the Ingham County Health Department, Otto Community Health Center provide clinical education/field work experience for nursing students; and

WHEREAS, the Health Officer has recommended that the Board of Commissioners enter into an agreement with Wayne State University to facilitate the requested field training experience.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes an agreement with Wayne State University to provide clinical education/field experiences for nursing students.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the period of the agreement shall be January 1, 2003 through December 31, 2003 and that the Board Chairperson is authorized to sign the agreement after review by the County Attorney.
