RESOLUTION TO APPROVE RENEWING THE REVISED WORK STUDY AGREEMENT WITH LANSING COMMUNITY COLLEGE

RESOLUTION #02-252

WHEREAS, Ingham County and Lansing Community College have had a long standing Work Study Program relationship; and

WHEREAS, Lansing Community College is revising all off-campus work study employer Work Study Agreements; and

WHEREAS, an Agreement is necessary to specify their and our responsibilities, including accidents, injuries and reimbursement levels/procedures; and

WHEREAS, Lansing Community College now utilizes Michigan and Federal Work Study funding, providing fixed reimbursement/contribution rates of 75%/25%.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners hereby authorizes the revised agreement between Ingham County and Lansing Community College for the Michigan and Federal Work Study funded employment programs providing 75% reimbursement to the County for the wages paid to persons participating in this employment program, and Ingham County's payroll contribution is 25%+ FICA and Worker's Compensation.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Chairperson of the Board and the County Clerk are authorized to sign any agreement documents for this program consistent with this resolution and subject to the approval as to form by the County Attorney.
