INGHAM COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

RESOLUTION TO ADJUST THE NURSING STAFFING AT THE SPARROW HEALTH CENTER

RESOLUTION #02-299

WHEREAS, the Sparrow Health Center currently has a vacant part time Nurse Practitioner position (HCHSVC005); and

WHEREAS, the Sparrow Health Center currently has a vacant, full-time Nurse Assessor position (HLHCHH014); and

WHEREAS, the Sparrow Health Center Administrator and the Director of Community Health Services have recommended that the most efficient staffing arrangement will result by changing these two positions to Clinic Nurse status; and

WHEREAS, these changes do not affect the Health Center budget; and

WHEREAS, the Health Officer has recommended to the Board of Commissioners authorize the proposed staffing changes.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Commissioners changes the classification of the vacant, part-time Nurse Practitioner position, HLHSVC005 (ICEA Nurse Practitioner/Clinic Nurse 7) to a part-time Clinic Nurse (ICEA Nurse Practitioner/Clinic Nurse 1), effective December 15, 2002.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board of Commissioners changes the classification of the vacant, Nurse Assessor position, HLHCHH014 (ICEA Nurse Practitioner/Clinic Nurse 2) to Clinic Nurse status (ICEA Nurse Practitioner/Clinic Nurse N1), effective December 15, 2002.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Controller is authorized to adjust the Health Department's 2003 budget in order to implement this resolution.
