RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE A LETTER OF AGREEMENT WITH THE FAMILY INDEPENDENCE AGENCY

RESOLUTION #02-306

WHEREAS, Ingham County employs the Coordinator of the Ingham County Human Services Advisory Committee(ICHSAC); and

WHEREAS, the Family Independence Agency proposes to contract with Ingham County to purchase some service from the ICHSAC Coordinator to support the planning process for the Strong Families/Safe Children Program; and

WHEREAS, the contracted funds are anticipated in the Health Department's 2003 budget as revenue to support the ICHSAC Coordinator position; and

WHEREAS, the Health Officer has recommended that the Board of Commissioners authorize a Letter of Agreement with the Family Independence Agency.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes a Letter of Agreement with the Ingham County Family Independence Agency to provide services to support the planning and implementation of the Strong Families/Safe Children Program.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the period of the agreement shall be October 1, 2002 through September 30, 2003.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Family Independence Agency shall pay Ingham County $6,000 for the staff support identified in the Letter of Agreement.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board Chairperson is authorized to sign the Letter of Agreement after review by the County Attorney.
