INGHAM COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT $2,250.00 FROM MICHIGAN MUNICIPAL RISK MANAGEMENT

AUTHORITY FOR THE PURCHASE OF BUMPER GUARDS

RESOLUTION #02-309

WHEREAS, the Ingham County Sheriff's Office was interested in purchasing bumper guards for the protection of patrol vehicles involved in accidents; and

WHEREAS, MMRMA has offered $2,250.00 for the purchase of bumper guards; and

WHEREAS, the Ingham County Sheriff's Office will match the $2,250.00 from existing funds from the Sheriff's Office 2002 budget.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes the Ingham County Sheriff's Office to accept a grant of $2,250.00 from MMRMA toward the purchase of bumper guards

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Sheriffs Office is authorized to purchase eight (8) bumper guards for the eight (8) Tahoes owned by the Sheriff's Office at a cost not to exceed $4,500

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes the Controller to make the necessary adjustments in the Ingham County Sheriff's Office 2002 budget.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board Chairperson and Clerk are authorized to sign any purchase/contract documents that are consistent with this resolution upon approval as to form by the County Attorney.
