RESOLUTION APPROVING A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
WITH THE STATE OF MICHIGAN FIA; THE STATE OF MICHIGAN DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY; AND THE 30TH JUDICIAL CIRCUIT COURT
RESOLUTION #02-312
WHEREAS, in order to achieve federal certification, the State of Michigan is requiring all counties to convert from the Michigan Child Enforcement System Version 1.5.1 to Version 2.4; and
WHEREAS, a Memorandum of Understanding has been prepared which outlines the responsibilities of the County, the Circuit Court, the Friend of the Court, the State of Michigan Department of Information Technology, and the State of Michigan Family Independence Agency; and
WHEREAS, the Memorandum of Understanding provides for reimbursement of county and court expenses associated with the conversion of approximately $25,000; and
WHEREAS, failure to enter into the Memorandum of Understanding may jeopardize the county's Cooperative Reimbursement funds; and
WHEREAS, the Circuit Court and the County Controller are recommending that the County enter into the Memorandum of Understanding.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board Chairperson is authorized to sign the final Memorandum of Understanding, after review by the County Attorney.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Circuit Court, Friend of the Court Division, is authorized to use overtime and incur other expenses as necessary to accomplish the conversion, subject to the reimbursement being made by the State of Michigan as provided in the Memorandum of Understanding.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Controller is authorized to make the necessary budget adjustments as provided by this resolution and Memorandum of Understanding.
