RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF THE IN-CAR VIDEO CAMERAS GRANT FROM THE MICHIGAN MUNICIPAL RISK MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY



RESOLUTION #02-59



WHEREAS, the Ingham County Sheriff's Office applied for and has been approved to receive an In-Car Video Cameras Grant from the Michigan Municipal Risk Management Authority (MMRMA); and



WHEREAS, the award amount of the grant is $9,000.00, with a local match requirement of $9,176.00, for a total project of $18,176.00; and



WHEREAS, the total monies from this grant and match will be utilized for the purchase and installation of four In-Car Video Camera systems in Ingham County Sheriff's Office patrol vehicles; and



WHEREAS, the Ingham County Sheriff's Office matches the MMRMA Grant with $9,176.00 which will be taken from the 2000 LLEBG Block Grant monies; and



THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners approves acceptance of the Michigan Municipal Risk Management Authority Grant of $9,000.00, with a match requirement of $9,176.00, for a total of $18,176.00.



BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners approves the matching funds of $9,176.00 from the 2000 LLEBG Block Grant monies.



BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes the Board Chairperson and the County Clerk to sign any necessary contract documents that are consistent with this resolution and approved as to form by the County Attorney.



BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners directs the Controller to make the necessary budget adjustments in the Ingham County Sheriff's Office 2001 and 2002 budgets.
