RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF SURPLUS

FARM RELATED ITEMS AT THE INGHAM COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS



RESOLUTION #02-94



WHEREAS, the Ingham County Fairgrounds has the following surplus farm related items: tractor blade, hydraulic broom, wagon running gear, two (2) manure spreaders, thirty (30) 8' metal gates, two (2) gasoline tanks, and forty (40) peg board displays, that are of no significant value to County operations; and



WHEREAS, the Ingham County Fair Board, Fair Manager and the Purchasing Director recommend disposing of the surplus at the March 30, 2002 Farm Tool Consignment Auction to be held at the Ingham County Fairgrounds; and



WHEREAS, the Auctioneer's commission for selling said items shall be ten percent (10%).



THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners hereby authorizes the Sheridan Auction Service to sell the surplus farm related items described above at its March 30, 2002 consignment auction at the Ingham County Fairgrounds.



BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the monies received from the sale of said items be placed in the Fair Board's Operating Budget.



BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the original auction forms shall be placed on record with the County Clerk's Office.



BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board Chairperson and County Clerk are hereby authorized to sign any necessary documents consistent with this resolution.
