RESOLUTION TO AMEND THE FY 2001-2002 COMPREHENSIVE, PLANNING, BUDGETING AND CONTRACTING (CPBC) AGREEMENT WITH THE MICHIGAN DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY HEALTH



RESOLUTION #02-95



WHEREAS, annually Ingham County enters into a Comprehensive, Planning, Budgeting, and Contracting (CPBC) with the Michigan Department of Community Health as a means of determining the financial sharing in programs and services to promote and protect the health of Ingham County residents; and



WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners authorized the FY 2001-2002 CPBC Agreement in Resolution No. 01-261; and



WHEREAS, the Michigan Department of Community Health has advised Ingham County of its intent to amend the FY 2002 CPBC Agreement, to implement the changes made in the MDCH budget by the November 2001 Executive Order and to accommodate other changes in the MDCH budget; and



WHEREAS, the Health Officer has recommended that the Board of Commissioners authorize the amendment.



THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners hereby authorizes an amendment to the FY 2001-2002 Comprehensive Planning, Budgeting, and Contracting with the Michigan Department of Community Health.



BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the amendment shall recognize reductions in state/federal funds totaling $291,544, reducing state/federal funds made available through the Agreement from $5,454,970 to $5,163,426.



BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the amendment shall reflect that funds allocated for the Cardiovascular Disease Program are only authorized for amounts expended through December 14, 2001.



BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the amendment shall reflect that funds allocated for the Adolescent Health Program are only authorized for amounts expended through February 1, 2002.



BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that all other terms and conditions of the agreement shall remain unchanged.



BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Controller is authorized to adjust the Health Department's FY 2002 budget to reflect the budget changes set out in this amendment.



BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board Chairperson is authorized to sign the amendment after review by the County Attorney.
