INGHAM COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT WITH MLJ CONSULTING FOR VOICE RADIO COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEMS PROJECT MANAGEMENT SERVICES

RESOLUTION #03-100

WHEREAS, the Ingham County Board of Commissioners has authorized system wide enhancements to the 911 Emergency Telephone Dispatch System; and

WHEREAS, the Ingham County Board of Commissioners selected the proposal submitted by MA/COM to provide the necessary equipment for enhancement of wireless voice radio communication for law enforcement agencies in Ingham County; and

WHEREAS, the 911 Advisory Board has determined that assistance is needed in the implementation of the MA/COM system and the supporting infrastructure; and

WHEREAS, the 911 Advisory Board is recommending that MLJ Consulting have a contract as the project manager for the upgrade to the county wide Radio Communication System.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes a contract with MLJ Consulting for Wireless Communications Systems project management services as outlined in their Wireless Communications Systems proposal at a cost not to exceed $494,142 for the time period of April 30, 2003 through July 1, 2004.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Chairperson of the Ingham County Board of Commissioners and the County Clerk are authorized to sign any necessary contract documents consistent with this resolution and approved as to form by the County Attorney.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the funds will come from the 911 Emergency Telephone Dispatch Services System Improvement budget.
