RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE TWO ADOLESCENT HEALTH PROGRAM GRANT AGREEMENTS WITH BALDWIN COMMUNITY SCHOOLS



RESOLUTION #03-305



WHEREAS, the State of Michigan has contributed funding to support the Ingham County Adolescent Health Programs for more than 15 years; and



WHEREAS, the state funds to support these services are now placed in the Michigan Department of Education budget, and the Department of Education has designated the Baldwin Community Schools as the fiduciary agent to contract with community programs; and



WHEREAS, the Health Officer has advised that the grant funds for support of the Otto Middle School Health Center and the Peer Education Program at Willow Plaza Services are anticipated in the Health Department's 2004 budget and has recommended that the Board of Commissioners authorize the Letters of Understanding with Baldwin Community Schools.



THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes two Adolescent Health - Teen Health Center Grant Letters of Understanding with Baldwin Community Schools.



BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that one letter of agreement shall be in the amount of $73,200 to support the Peer Education (Non-Clinical Teen Health Center) Program at Willow Plaza Services.



BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that one letter of agreement shall be in the amount of $123,200 to support the Otto Middle School Community Health Center (Clinical Teen Health Center).



BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the period for both of the Letters of Understanding shall be October 1, 2003 through September 30, 2004.



BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board Chairperson is authorized to sign the Letter of Understanding after review by the County Attorney
