INGHAM COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

RESOLUTION TO APPROVE A REORGANIZATION IN THE PROBATE COURT

RESOLUTION #03-034

WHEREAS, the Probate Court seeks to create a Secretary/Court Recorder (Level G) position to maintain and operate the FTR Gold recorder equipment to insure a complete court record and to accurately reflect the duties of the position within Judge Garcia's courtroom; and

WHEREAS, the previous Probate Court Administrator/Register and Probate Judge Richard Garcia have discussed this matter with the Human Resources Director and all three are in agreement regarding this change in Judge Garcia's personal staff; and

WHEREAS, the Probate Court Chief Judge R. George Economy and the UAW are also in agreement with this reorganization.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that position PROCRT017 - Court Recorder (UAW Level E) be deleted.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a Secretary/Court Recorder (UAW Level G-5) be created.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the incumbent who is within Level E ($26,479 - $31,776) be transferred to the new position at Level G ($29,730 - $35,684) effective payroll period following approval.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes the Controller to make the necessary budget adjustments and Position Allocation List amendment in the Probate Court budget.
