RESOLUTION HONORING LONNIE JOHNSON FOR HIS SERVICE TO THE

INGHAM COUNTY HISTORICAL COMMISSION

RESOLUTION #03-040

WHEREAS, Lonnie Johnson began serving on the Historical Commission in March of 2001; and

WHEREAS, after the recent re-establishment of the Historical Commission, Lonnie played an important role in enabling the Commission to set goals and fulfill its mission; and

WHEREAS, Lonnie assisted the Historical Commission with tours of the Ingham County Courthouse, educating the public and students on the history behind the building and the County of Ingham; and

WHEREAS, as a member, Lonnie has served as a model of decorum and integrity in the conduct of public affairs; and

WHEREAS, Lonnie is leaving the Historical Commission to serve the County in another capacity, as a member of the newly created Community Health Authority.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners hereby honors Lonnie Johnson for his dedicated service to the Ingham County Historical Commission and the citizens of Ingham County.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board wishes him continued success in all of his future endeavors.
