RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE INGHAM COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE
TO SIGN A FIVE-YEAR LEASE AGREEMENT WITH DICTAPHONE CORPORATION FOR A
TELEPHONE RECORDING SYSTEM
RESOLUTION #04-116
WHEREAS, the current telephone recording system at the Ingham County Sheriff's Office is no longer operable; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to record incoming and outgoing telephone calls at the Law Enforcement desk at the Sheriff's Office; and
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Purchasing Department that the Sheriff's Office enters into a lease agreement with the Dictaphone Corporation for a five (5) year lease agreement totaling $29,681.40; and
WHEREAS, the proposed lease agreement with Dictaphone Corporation includes maintenance cost; and
WHEREAS, the maintenance cost alone over the past several years has exceeded $7,000.00 per year and have been paid for from 911 funds.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes the Ingham County Sheriff's Office to enter into a lease agreement with Dictaphone Corporation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the lease agreement with Dictaphone Corporation would be for a five-year lease agreement totaling $29,681.40 commencing on the date of installation and acceptance of the system.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes this lease agreement to be paid for from the 911 Fund.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes the Board Chairperson and the Clerk to sign any necessary contract documents consistent with this resolution and approved as to form by the County Attorney.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes the Controller to make any necessary adjustments in the 2004 budget.
