INGHAM COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT EXTENSION WITH DBI BUSINESS INTERIORS

RESOLUTION #04-213

WHEREAS, Ingham County’s current contract for desk top delivery of office and paper supplies expires on June 30, 2004; and

WHEREAS, the Purchasing Department has held meetings with using departments within the County to determine whether the existing contract should be renewed and if so if there were any changes to be made to the contract making it more beneficial for the using departments; and

WHEREAS, the County Departments agreed that they were more than satisfied with the contract; and the Purchasing Department has met with DBI Business Interiors and presented the results of the meetings, surveys and comments from using departments; and

WHEREAS, DBI Business Interiors has agreed to add, change and make deletions to the contract listing and has implemented an additional 2% discount when orders are placed with a Procurement Card and agrees to extend the original agreement with these changes.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners hereby authorizes a three-year extension of the agreement approved by Resolution #01-199 with DBI Business Interiors for the delivery of desk top office and paper supplies with a contract period of July1, 2004 through June 30, 2007.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Chairperson of the Ingham County Board of Commissioners and the County Clerk are authorized to sign the necessary contract documents consistent with this resolution and approved to form by the County Attorney.
