RESOLUTION HONORING NAOMI GAYNOR

 

RESOLUTION #04-266

 

WHEREAS, Naomi Gaynor was employed with Ingham County Corporation Counsel for approximately seven years; and

 

WHEREAS, during that time she provided able legal assistance to various County officials and departments; and

 

WHEREAS, Naomi played a vital role in a number of important Ingham County issues  such as the living wage, prevailing wage, soil erosion, the smoking ordinance and HIPPA to name a few, and also worked on numerous Freedom of Information Act requests on behalf of Ingham County; and

 

WHEREAS, Naomi also attended many meetings of the Ingham County Board of Commissioners where she was always prepared to provide legal advice whenever necessary; and

 

WHEREAS, she recently decided to change career paths and accepted a position with Michigan State University’s School of Law as the Assistant Director of Placement; and 

 

WHEREAS, Naomi has made an impact in County Government and touched the lives of many elected officials, department heads and employees within Ingham County, she will be missed by all.

 

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners hereby honors Naomi Gaynor for her years of dedication and commitment to the County of Ingham and expresses its sincere appreciation for the many contributions she has made to the County and its citizens.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board extends its best wishes to Naomi for continued success in all of her future endeavors.
