INGHAM COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE INGHAM COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE TO ACCEPT $4,000.00 IN GRANT MONIES FROM THE WAL-MART FOUNDATION

RESOLUTION #04-293

WHEREAS, the Ingham County Sheriff’s Office has applied for and received a Grand Opening Grant from the Wal-Mart Foundation; and

WHEREAS, the amount applied for and received is $4,000.00 for the Ingham County Sheriff’s Office Explorers Post, D.A.R.E. Program, Training Unit, and Underwater Search and Rescue; and

WHEREAS, there will be no match or cost associated with this Grant to Ingham County.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the County of Ingham accepts the $4,000.00 cash grant from the Wal-Mart Foundation.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners thanks the Wal-Mart Foundation for their generous contribution.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners directs the Controller to make the necessary budget adjustments in the Ingham County Sheriff’s Office 2004 budget.
