RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ENTERING INTO A REDUCED CONTRACT
WITH THE MICHIGAN DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS FOR
THE INGHAM COUNTY\CITY OF LANSING COMMUNITY CORRECTIONS
2004-2005 FISCAL YEAR THAT REDUCES THE AMOUNT
ORIGINALLY REQUESTED IN THE GRANT APPLICATION
FOR PROBATION RESIDENTIAL SERVICES
RESOLUTION #04-322
WHEREAS, a Comprehensive Community Corrections Plan was approved by the Ingham County Board of Commissioners, the Lansing City Council, and the State Office of Community Corrections; and
WHEREAS, PA511 requires the annual submission of an application that identifies planned priorities and strategies to be implemented for the upcoming State fiscal year (FY 2004-2005); and
WHEREAS, in Resolution No. 04-183, the Ingham County Board of Commissioners approved the grant application submitted to the Michigan Department of Corrections and approved entering into a contract with the Michigan Department of Corrections for $289,275 in Community Corrections Advisory Board Plans and Services funds, $43,200 in Drunk Driving Jail Reduction and Community Treatment Program (DDJR/CTP) funds and $533,630 for Probation Residential Services for a total of $866,105 for the time period of October 1, 2004 through September 30, 2005; and
WHEREAS, the State has reduced the maximum payable amount requested in the grant application for probation residential services from $533,630 (34 beds) as authorized in Resolution No. 04-183 to $439,460 (28 beds) for the period of October 1, 2004 through September 30, 2005.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners approves entering into a contract that reduces the maximum payable amount originally requested in the grant application for probation residential services from $533,630 (34 beds) to $439,460 (28 beds) for the period of October 1, 2004 through September 30, 2004.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the Chairperson of the Board of Commissioners and the County Clerk are authorized to sign any necessary contracts and/or subcontracts consistent with this resolution subject to approval as to form by the County Attorney.
