RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ENTERING INTO A CONTRACT WITH

SCHINDLER ELEVATOR CORPORATION FOR FULL SERVICE ELEVATOR

MAINTENANCE AT THE GRADY PORTER BUILDING

RESOLUTION #04-85

WHEREAS, the current elevator maintenance contract has expired for the two (2) traction passenger elevators at the Grady Porter Building; and

WHEREAS, the Purchasing Department solicited interested and qualified private and commercial licensed firms to submit proposals for entering into an agreement for the purpose of providing full-service elevator maintenance for five (5) years on two (2) traction passenger elevators located in the Grady Porter Building; and

WHEREAS, upon review of the proposals it is the recommendation of both the Purchasing and Facilities Departments that a contract be awarded to Schindler Elevator Corporation who submitted the lowest responsive proposal to provide full-service maintenance on the two (2) traction passenger elevators at the Grady Porter Building for a total five (5) year cost of $27,818.31.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes entering into a contract with Schindler Elevator Corporation, 4600 N. Grand River Suite D, Lansing, Michigan 48906, for a five (5) year full-service elevator maintenance for a total cost not to exceed $27,818.31.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes the County Attorney to prepare the necessary documents with the Board Chairperson and County Clerk to sign the same.
