INGHAM COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

 

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A RECEIVE SITE TOWER GENERATOR IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT FOR THE PUBLIC SAFETY WIRELESS VOICE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

 

RESOLUTION #10-380

 

WHEREAS, the Ingham County Board of Commissioners operates the Ingham County Public Safety Radio Communications System; and

 

WHEREAS, the Systems Administrator and 911 Advisory Board have identified a plan for a Receive Site Tower Generator Improvements Project, and subsequent purchase orders for the purchase of three 10K Generator Systems Model 40316GE, with the specified features at three tower sites for the Public Safety Wireless Voice Communication System; and

 

WHEREAS, the 911 Advisory Board is recommending that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners fund this request from the 911 Emergency Telephone Dispatch Services - Ingham County Public Safety Radio Communications System Project Budget.

 

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes purchase orders for up to $10,000 for the Receive Site Tower Generator Improvement Project, for the purchase of three  10K Generator systems Model 40316GE, with the specified features from Home Depot for the Public Safety Wireless Voice Communication System.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes amending the current three Receive Site Leases with the following vendors effective January 1, 2010, with the funds to come from 911 Fund for Management and System Improvements:

 

SBA for an additional $75.00 per month/$900 per year;

Sub Carrier for an additional $150.00 per month/$1,800 per year;

Crown Castle for an additional $150.00 per month/$1,800 per year.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Controller/Administrator is authorized to make the necessary budgetary transfers of up to an additional $10,000.00 in funds from the 911 Emergency Telephone Dispatch Services - 911 Fund for Management and System Improvements as part of the upgrade of the Public Safety Radio Communications System in Ingham County.
