WHAT
WE DO...
The
Board Chairperson will appoint a Commissioner representative
to serve on this Board annually This Board oversees the activities
of the Capital Area Community Services, which administers
dollars to programs to assist low-income citizens and senior
citizens in Clinton, Eaton Ingham and Shiawassee Counties.
These funds come from the Federal Community Service Administration.
Some examples of its projects include operation Headstart,
Young Adult Program, Neighborhood Youth Corps, Senior Citizens
Transportation and Outreach Program, youth employment programs
and a senior citizens employment program.
