Flu shots are suggested for everyone who  wishes to reduce the likelihood of becoming ill with the flu. Do you have a chronic medical condition, such as diabetes? A flu shot is recommended. 

The flu is a serious respiratory disease caused by a virus.  It is not a gastrointestinal illness. Check out the chart below.

Flu shots are recommended for pregnant women and all household contacts & caregivers of infants under 6 months of age!

 

Flu shots are recommended  annually for children age 6 months—18 years of age, and especially  children of any age with chronic medical conditions or long term aspirin therapy.  Children under 9 years of age getting flu vaccine for the  first time should get 2 doses, 1 month apart.
