CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKER #08-017           Family Court                                                             $40,911 - $61,777

Responsibilities:  Under the direction of the Deputy Court Administrator for Family Court and supervision of the Juvenile Programs Director, provides treatment and casework services as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, to clients and families of the Family Court Division of the Circuit Court.  Treatment and casework services include psycho-social assessments, and the development and implementation of treatment, therapy and case plans.  Will be responsible for assessments, counseling, education, referrals, consultation, collaboration and crisis intervention of clients as the need arises under each case plan. Will be responsible for maintaining appropriate protocols and documentation of services.  Will perform other duties as may be assigned.

Essential Job Functions:  With or without accommodations, this employee must be capable of verbally performing interviews with and audibly listening to the general public population.  Must be able to read client case files, professional journals and other materials.  Will be required to make and maintain appropriate documentation in files providing follow-up or other needs in documentation, referrals for treatment.  May be necessary to occasionally lift, push and pull weights of 10 to 20 lbs.  Regular standing, bending, climbing stairs, sitting and other office duties are performed throughout the day.

Degree/Experience:  Must have a Masters degree in Social Work or other related field of study.  LMSW license (Licensed Master's Social Worker).   Must have two (2) or more years of related work experience in providing treatment and counseling to adolescent sex offenders.  Knowledge of best practice treatment for adolescent sex offenders and experience in implementing such programming preferred.  Must have a good driving record and a valid Michigan’s Driver’s License.  Driving records will be checked as part of the referral process.  You must be able to meet the standards of the Ingham County Driving Records Policy for referral.  Please provide copies of your certifications, along with your resume, cover letter and application.
