WHAT WE DO...

The office of the Ingham County Register of Deeds was established in 1835.  The present Register of Deeds, Curtis Hertel, Jr., is the 31st person to hold the office. 

The Register of Deeds Office houses the Official Public Records of Ingham County consisting of real and personal property. Only original documents can be recorded. Documents can be mailed or brought  to the office for recording.   Real estate documents are recorded and returned immediately after processing.   Personal property documents are filed and kept until expired or terminated.

Hours of Operation:  M- F, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
