For those awards that require someone to be nominated, please
consider nominating someone!

Ingham County 4H Horse Project Awards
|
Requirement to Apply |
Applicant must be a 4-H Horse or Horseless Horse Project member in good standing for at least one project year. |

Up to five top scores |

Application Process |
Complete "Outstanding Horse Member" application form top scores determined by point system, due first Monday in October. |

Type of Award |
The Ingham County 4-H Horse Committee will present a $50 Savings Bond and a gift to the top scores in 4 categories.

An Individual or group who demonstrates Outstanding dedication to the 4-H Horse Program. |

One and may only win this award one time. |

Application Process |
Nomination narrations are accepted through September at the 4H office due at the September horse committee meeting. Marked ballots are due at the October Horse committee (one vote per club adults by adults). |

Ingham County 4H horse member ages 13-19 who demonstrates "Outstanding service to the Ingham County 4H Horse Program" |

Nomination due at the September horse committee meeting. The member is nominated in 100 words or less ballot. Ballots are due and voted on at the October Horse committee by their peers. Recipients are announced at the Horse Awards Banquet in November. |

Horse Clubs choosing to decorate their barns compete based on daily scores relating to interaction with people at the barn, team work and cleanliness. |

Created in the memory of Brenda Curtis goes the one who displays the best sportsmanship attitude and grace under pressure in the gymkhana speed classes. |

This is a post-secondary education scholarship winners at the Fair in the Showmanship Medals Classes sponsored by the Chase Family. |

There will be two sweepstake winners in each age division; Senior, Intermediate and Junior. One place number (either 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th ) |

Type of Award |
In each division, the first place winner will receive a $300 scholarship award. A $200 scholarship award will be presented to a winner, either 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th place, determined by a drawing held before the medals classes begin. |

4-H members in the horse project who are graduating seniors |
|

All 4-H horse project members who are graduating seniors. |

Application Process |
The high school graduates write a short story sharing their 4-H career and goals for their future. This story must be typed and submitted at vet check. |

The graduating seniors are honored at Fair in a riding ceremony led by the Ingham County Mounted Division. |

Requirement to Apply |
This scholarship is sponsored by the Awalt Family. Amanda Awalt showed horses in 4-H for ten years. Eligibility: 1. High school senior or college freshman and be 18 or 19 2. Must have been or currently are active in showing horses in Ingham County 4-H. 3. Must attend, or plan to attend a college, university of trade school after high school. |
