Do you want a garden in Lansing, Mi. We can help.

The Ingham County Land Bank manages hundreds of properties throughout the Lansing area, including over 150+ vacant lots available for gardening and beautification. The list of vacant properties can be accessed simply by contacting the land bank and requesting an email that includes a map of the properties, or by phone inquiries.

After the gardener chooses a plot that best fits their needs, the Ingham County Land Bank is able to lease the parcels for a low price of a dollar a year, and/or for general care of the property. The land bank is also willing to provide the gardeners with any resources they do not currently have in order to make their garden a reality. The only stipulation is that the gardeners care for their parcel year round. Otherwise, they are free to garden and grow whatever legal product they want. That is to say, anything grown is theirs to keep, sell, or donate.

If you choose to call, ask for the AmeriCorps Garden Coordinator, Eric. He can also be reached by cell phone at (313) 498-2644, or by email at shoveine@gmail.com. Otherwise visit us on the web at http://www.inghamlandbank.org/, or call us at (517) 267-5221.

We look forward to helping you.

Sincerely,

Eric Shovein
