World-renowned wolf expert Dr. Rolf Peterson will lead the audience through the wild life of the wolves of Isle Royale National Park and the important predator-prey research
taking place there. Peterson, project leader of the Isle Royale wolves and moose study and author of
The Wolves of Isle Royale: A Broken Balance will also speak about the
issues and concerns surrounding the management of the wolf population.
Guests will be immersed in the wintry, dangerous world of hunters and hunted that only a person who has spent most of his life in pursuit of the elusive wolf and its prey can
create. With a lifetime spent trekking on snowshoes and flying in small planes in extremely isolated terrain, Peterson’s many amazing experiences as a scientist, author and
teacher will keep guests on the edge of their seats.
Enjoy a fascinating array of animal images from the study and Potter Park Zoo, as well as a special book signing opportunity (copies of Dr. Peterson's book will be available for
sale).
