Throughout the year, the zoo offers special events to the public, such as Wonderland of Lights, Boo at the Zoo, Migratory Bird Day, L & L Food Days, Rhino Romp and Party for the Planet.  From the initial planning stages through the presentation of every event, volunteers are crucial to the success of these popular occasions!

Volunteer fun can include such activities as face painting, decorating zoo grounds, organizing children's games, registering participants, working concession stands, and creating signs and artwork.
